68 Years and 58 Commissions Ago

This week's Throwback Thursday post is a glimpse into the very first United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. It was a gathering of 15 delegates - all women - in Lake Success, New York. Over time meetings of the CSW became annual and grew to include representatives of  many Non-Governmental Organizations (including the School Sisters of Notre Dame!) who participate as observers.
