A SisterStory from Paulette Pass, SSND

SisterStory, according to their website, is, "the ongoing story of National Catholic Sisters Week." The SisterStory website is a point for collecting and sharing the stories of US sisters in order to answer the questions, "Who are Catholic sisters? What are their lives like? What impact have they had over the course of American history? What difference do they make today?" We thought that today would be a great time to share this, since this NCSW 2015 begins tomorrow!

Set Apart is a series of podcasts from SisterStory that collects individual sisters experiences of wearing the religious habit. In this episode, Paulette Pass, SSND, reflects on both her memories of wearing the habit when she first entered the community and of living through the transition away from the habit early in her years as a sister. Her story provides fascinating insights about her generation of sisters and her very personal experience of what wearing - and not wearing - the habit has come to mean for her. Well worth a listen!
